My artwork focuses on subtleties in form, color and movement. I try to show the viewer beauty in simple organic images and shapes. When you see the different media I work in you will notice strong connections between them.

Finally, after four days of rain, a sunny morning! I was thinking about what makes a painting have movement. I think that the direction and steepness of lines that are created by either actual lines or by objects,  that make a painting  slower or much faster in its movement. When I photographed some beautiful driftwood at the beach, I wanted to see the difference. Movement gives a piece of art excitement for me. I like to think about what is beyond the painting.

I also found this movement in the photographs I took in New York a few months ago.
