A sunny day at last!

Things just look so different with the sun streaming into the window first thing in the morning. I sat down with a cup of tea and noticed the beautiful long shadows my plants were throwing across the floor. Finding a few of my favorite things to photograph, I picked a good sunny spot on the floor of my studio, grabbed my favorite camera and shot these pictures. Hope they give you a moment of calm in your day as they do in mine.

What a day!

 
 It's impossible not to be amazed by this incredible winter wonderland! When the air is crisp and the snow is heavy, heading out with a camera into the stillness is like walking into a dream. I've always enjoyed the changes in nature that are especially dramatic in the northern climates.

Dreaming in red!

I just had to take some close up pictures of my Amaryllis this morning. I love the way the pollen gently sits on the leaves waiting to be blown away.
